Laura Vázquez Morales, Mexico
Visual artist born in the city of Toluca, State of Mexico.
He masters techniques such as oil, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, engraving and encaustic. Student of distinguished artists among which are Ignacio Barrios, Fernando Cano, Magda Torres Gurza, Ana Elena Madrigal, Patricia Guzmán, Anastasia Sergeevna, Mauricio Turu, Jorge Salort, among others.
His pictorial work, impregnated with color, lights, textures and nuances, addresses themes that include the landscape, the urban environment, nature, the human figure, and the abstraction of these.
In his training and development he has participated in workshops of the National Museum of Watercolor, the Museum of Watercolor of the State of Mexico, the House of Watercolor of Master Ignacio Barrios, as well as the Scuola Internazionale di Gráfica in Venice, the engraving workshop of the master Henrik Bøegh in Capileira, Spain, and the Abstract Art workshop at the Ibero-American University.
He has presented his work in the State of Mexico, in Mexico City and in South America, in more than 80 collective exhibitions and 6 individual exhibitions,
President of the Association of Friends of the Watercolor Museum of the State of Mexico, for the period 2010-2012, and Coordinator of the same Association in 2019-2020.
Member of the Mexican Society of Watercolorists, as well as the International Watercolor Society, an organization with which he has participated presenting his work in the contests held in Portugal, Indonesia, Slovakia, Dubai, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Italy, Nepal, Spain and Vietnam.
She is an architect from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, teaching various chairs at the Faculty of Architecture and Design.
