During the days of the Ukrainian culture in China, the Ukrainian delegation headed by Yevgeny Nishuk met with the famous Chinese sculptor Wu Weihan - the author of more than 500 sculptures, including the sculpture "Gates of the Soul. Dialogue of Taras Shevchenko and Du Fu", set up in the Fomin Botanical Garden in Kyiv.
Wu Weishan is the Director of the National Art Museum of China, the Deputy Chairman of the Chinese Association of Artists, a permanent member of the committee and director of the Committee of Culture of the Democratic League of China, an honorary academician of the Chinese University in Hong Kong, president of the Chinese Academy of Sculpture of National Academy of Fine Arts at the Nanjing Normal University.
The parties shared their impressions of the events taking place within the framework of Ukrainian culture days and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of art. Volodymyr Kozyuk introduced Vu Weishan to the results of the «Кращий Художник / The Best Artist 2018» contest.
