Olivier de Cayron, born in Bourg-la-Reine in 1958, is a contemporary French self-taught visual artist. He lives and works in Cachan. In his work, the combination of photography, digital productions, new technologies and microperforation stimulates the visual participation of the viewer. After an abstract period from 1985 to 1995, he turned resolutely towards new technologies, anxious to grasp contemporaneity and current techniques.
In 1985, he co-founded the Art-Scenes association, co-edited the Art-Scenes Review for 25 years.
After having been artistic director of the Manifestation of Contemporary Art "Contemporary Art 2000" in the 2000s at the Porte d'Auteuil Paris, he joined the selection committee of the Manifestation of Contemporary Art Mac Paris from 2005 to 2010 then, he co-founded in 2011 the Biennial of Contemporary Art: Art and Greater Paris 11 at the Pavillon Baltard.
